February Favorites

At the end of every month, I feature my favorite looks from the past four weeks on my Instagram page so I'm going to start sharing and discussing them on my blog as well!

February was a little all over the place weather-wise. There were days when I could go without a coat and bare my legs, and others where I was traipsing through several inches of snow and ice. Plus February included a trip to Cali so obviously I had to break out one of my favorite warm-weather maxis...

Here are a few outfits I thoroughly enjoyed wearing in February and below, you can find links and thoughts on the pieces you see.

Shop the Looks

(In order from top left going to the right ending with the bottom right photo. You follow??)

1. Black and White Shift Dress: I love the fun graphic on this dress and the fact that it's in black and white! The color scheme makes it super easy to accessorize with bold colors or neutral accessories. The shift silhouette likewise makes it easy to layer jackets/scarves/sweaters with as well. Overall, I think it will be a very versatile piece that I'll be able to wear to work, church, date-night, etc.

2. Floral Maxi: This fabric is so comfy it should be illegal. And it flows beautifully! I wore it when I was in Cali and received many compliments on it. This exact pattern is sold out, but you can find the same dress in different patterns here and here.

3. Who What Wear Pencil Skirt: The Who What Wear collection for Target is on point. I saw this skirt on Instagram and knew it must be mine. So I rushed over to the store and scooped one up! Again, this will be a great piece for the office (I'm trying to expand my workwear wardrobe, can you tell?).

4. Striped Tunic: You may have already seen my ode to this $10 tunic on the blog last week. If you haven't, you can see why I love it so much here.

5. Lace Hem Sweater: I love lace and I love sweaters. So having TWO layers of lace hemmed to the bottom of a sweater?? Crazy. And gorgeous. Also comes in pink!

6. Floral Tunic: Got this tunic for Christmas after coveting it for months and it was totally worth the wait! It's more of a Spring pattern, but I just couldn't wait to break it out!

I also have to take a second to rave about what was arguably my best purchase of the month. This tote is absolute perfection. I had been looking for a a bag that would fit my laptop, water bottle, lunch, as well as my other usual purse items (phone, chargers, chapstick. lotion, etc.) with no luck. Finding the right size was not difficult, but finding one that would zip shut and stay relatively clean was rather challenging. When I saw this one at Target, I knew I had found the perfect bag. The black part is nylon so it stays super clean and is very durable. I carry it to work everyday and it works wonderfully. I even used it as my carry-on bag when traveling this past month and it did not disappoint. It has lots of pockets and even an attached pouch inside so organizing the contents inside is a breeze. If you're in the market for a bag of this size, I highly recommend it (plus, how fun is this matching tassel??).

What were some of your best purchases/outfits this past month?? I'd love to read about or see them! Comment below :)

About To: Watch "The Bachelor!"

Eiger: Just stole one of my socks.
