36 Week Bumpdate!

Dress: SheIn (c/o, exact one here) // Purse: Rebecca Minkoff (pink version here, black version here) // Shoes: Target (similar here

I honestly can't believe I only have a month left of this pregnancy! Things are getting very real very quickly and it's overwhelming, but oh so exciting. Obviously I still have a LOT to do, but we are making real progress at our house! We've ordered most of the remaining items from our registry and the nursery is aaaaalmost complete. We just need to finish organizing all of the gear and put his closet together. I can't wait to show it to all of you once it's done!

I finish up my other job this week so once that is all wrapped up, I'll focus on cleaning out the rest of our house and stocking up on some essentials (laundry detergent, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc). I also still need to pack my hospital bag...haha. Basically, my to-do list is quite long, but I'm excited to finish it up!
And now for the bumpdate!

Belly: DEFINITELY look pregnant now haha. It's still on the small side, but my OB assures me it's just because I have a long torso. I'm measuring well within the healthy range, so that's good. (Btw the photos above were taken a few weeks ago, my belly is a bit bigger now.)

Maternity Clothes: Obviously still wearing maternity jeans/leggings, but most of my other pants are just a size bigger than my pre-pregnancy size. I can wear looser tops/dresses pretty comfortably too so I'm feeling pretty grateful that I haven't had to buy an ENTIRE new wardrobe (although that would be fun. Expensive. But fun). This dress has been perfect for pregnancy. It's nice and loose and has buttons so it'll be nursing friendly as well. Plus it's only $23!!

Swelling: Just these last few days I've noticed my ankles are swelling quite a bit. Even my socks leave imprints! I've been trying to stay hydrated and keep my feet up, but they're still kinda big. Oh well.

Back pain: This has gotten real bad the last few days. It's mainly in my lower back. It's not fun, but definitely bearable.

Sleeping: I still only get up once a night to use the bathroom, but rolling over is definitely trickier haha. Still no need for a pregnancy pillow though! Which is good since I don't think Chris, the pillow, and I would all fit in our bed at once.

Eating: Still a fair amount of hiccuping/burping/acid refluxing, but I'm surviving. I ate a TON at Thanksgiving and paid for it later, but it was totally worth it.

Cravings: Ice ice ice ice and peanut butter Dove chocolates.

Emotions: Definitely more susceptible to crying. Chris went and visited his family for Thanksgiving and I cried a lot since I missed him haha I also cried a lot during the Gilmore Girls revival. And pretty much everything else in life.

Exercise: Still able to do my usual routine, but my right leg feels weird? Almost like it's cramping, but not quite. It makes working out more painful, but it generally doesn't last too long. I also feel it a lot when I go up stairs. Stairs get harder and harder everyday.

Contractions: Having a few everyday, but not regularly or intensely enough for me to call my doctor or be concerned.

Baby: He is still pretty active, but he's definitely running out of room! He likes to kick and shift all over and it sometimes hurts a lot. Thankfully, I can just push him back to where he should be and that helps. He's already quite low and head down so he's in a perfect position for birth!

Due Date: My OB examined me a few weeks ago and my cervix is thinning, but I'm not dilated yet. My next appointment is this week so we'll see what she says is going on then! My OB says the baby could come anytime and she would not stop labor at this point, but I could also go past 40 weeks. Who knows. She was a bit concerned that my husband would be out of town for Thanksgiving, but thankfully nothing happened while he was gone. I'm hoping the baby will come sooner rather than later, but as long as he's healthy I'll be happy!

As always, thank you for stopping by! Hope you are all having a good start to your week.

Watching: The puppy. He's being VERY good so I'm happy.
Ate: Rice bowls for dinner.
Scored: A great dress for my holiday work party at Target of all places! I'll share pics soon :)
Days Until Christmas/Baby: 27 AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  1. Annie! Talk to me about back pain and weird leg pain. Might be sciatic nerve pain? I've had a lot of it during and after pregnancy. If you want, I know some stretches that will help a lot. (Like night and day difference. Changed my life...)

    1. Yes I definitely will next time I see you! That would be SO helpful. I mentioned it to my mom and she also said it could be sciatic nerve pain (she's never had that though). I'm all for trying to alleviate some of the pain haha it's the worst and it won't go away! Thank you!
